Privacy
WorkoutGPX has no servers, no account, no ads and no analytics, and it collects nothing. All processing happens on your device: it reads your Health data only to show your workouts and build the files you export, and it never writes to Health. Your workouts leave the device only in a file you share yourself.
What it reads
Section titled “What it reads”Workouts, workout routes, heart rate, running power, cycling power and cycling cadence, with the access you gave it in the Health app (see Health access). Change or remove that access there at any time: tap your picture at the top of the Health app, then Apps and WorkoutGPX.
What stays on the device
Section titled “What stays on the device”- Your exports are files in WorkoutGPX’s folder (Files ▸ On My iPhone ▸ WorkoutGPX). Delete them in Files whenever you like.
- Your choices: filters and settings stay in the app.
- Route outlines in the list are kept in the app’s cache, so the list does not ask Health again.
What comes from elsewhere
Section titled “What comes from elsewhere”WorkoutGPX sends nothing anywhere: not your workouts, not your files, not how you use it. A few things on screen come from Apple and from us: the map in the route viewer is Apple Maps, loaded for the area on screen; the pages under Also from ObjectGraph and behind the GPX Explore button come from the App Store; and WorkoutGPX Guide opens these pages in your browser.
What a shared file reveals
Section titled “What a shared file reveals”A GPX file carries your route with the time of every point, and, with Include Sensor Data on, your heart rate and power along it. Its description names the device that recorded it. Before you share:
- Set Hide Start and End so the route does not begin and end at your door. See Hide your start and end.
- Turn off Include Sensor Data for a file with positions, heights and times only.
