Retrace Route
At the far end of a walk, when the way back is not obvious, Geo Tracker can show you the line you came by. It is a reference to the route you actually took, not directions: it never invents a path between places you did not record.
Open it
Section titled “Open it”While recording, tap the … button at the top right of the recording screen and choose Retrace Route. (With larger accessibility text sizes it is a button on the screen itself.) It needs at least two recorded points.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”- Your recorded line, in blue, frozen at the moment you opened it. The recording goes on underneath.
- Start, a green flag where the recording began, and Turnaround, an orange marker at the last point recorded when you opened it.
- Your position, moving as you walk, and under the map the distance to Start in a straight line, which shrinks as you get closer.
- Whole Route fits the line on the screen; Follow Me keeps the map on you and turns it the way you face.
- When the recording has pauses, a note says Gaps in the line are places where no route was recorded.
Tap Done to go back to the recording. Nothing about the recording changes: the way back is recorded like the way out, and the file holds both.
